SolarEdge Power Optimizers enable each panel in the PV array to work independently. The underperformance of one panel will not affect others in the string, eliminating mismatch-related power losses due to shading, soiling, or aging, enabling higher overall energy production.
Connecting to bifacial panels can also mitigate electrical losses caused by the varying ground albedo, shading, obstructions or other rear-side factors.
SolarEdge power optimisers maximise energy from each panel through constant tracking of Maximum Power Point per panel. Optimal efficiency is achieved by automatically maintaining a fixed string voltage and performance can be monitored via the SolarEdge monitoring portal. Each optimiser is equipped with the unique SafeDC. This automatically shuts down module voltage whenever inverter or grid power are unavailable.
The P850 series have been designed for commercial uses.
