TRIC Mounting MCS Certification Update

We want to inform you of a temporary suspension of the MCS 012 Certification for TRIC Mounting Systems, effective May 10, 2025.

The MCS Certification for TRIC Mounting Systems is transitioning from Wagner Renewables Ltd to Wagner Solar GmbH, the manufacturer of TRIC. During this transition, there will be a lapse in MCS Certification, and certificate number IK0193 will no longer be valid from May 10, 2025. New certification will be issued once the latest TRIC range has been tested and approved.

Why is this happening?

As the manufacturer of TRIC Mounting Systems, Wagner Solar GmbH approached us regarding MCS Certification and the possibility of having TRIC certified directly in the UK. To provide clarity for the UK market, we have agreed to transfer certification responsibilities to Wagner Solar GmbH.

What happens next?

• Any installations registered with MCS before May 10, 2025, will remain valid.
• From May 10, 2025, installers will no longer be able to register systems using TRIC mounting.
• We will continue to stock TRIC products, but our MCS-approved solution for pitched roof installations will be Renusol during this period.
• If you have upcoming installations after May 10, 2025, we recommend requesting a re-quote from your account manager or any of our team members.
• We will still provide full designs, uplift values, and load calculations based on Renusol to support your system documentation.

Support & Stock Availability

Our sales and technical teams remain available to assist with system design and quoting—only the product will change temporarily. We will stock Renusol in our warehouse to ensure continued order fulfilment within the usual time frames.

How long will this take?

BRE has advised that the certification process is unlikely to be completed before May 10, 2025, due to their current workload. While we do not yet have a confirmed date for TRIC’s recertification under MCS, Wagner Solar GmbH is working closely with Wagner Renewables, BRE, and MCS to ensure a swift resolution. We are advising customers that this could be around 6 months.

What’s next?

This transition paves the way for new TRIC products to enter the UK market, ensuring the latest innovative mounting systems are available.

• The new certification will comply with MCS 012 Issue 3, providing you and your customers with peace of mind that TRIC systems are fully tested and accredited.
• As part of MCS 012 Issue 3, flat roof mounting solutions will also undergo certification.
• Wagner Solar GmbH will submit the TRIC F Duo XL system for testing, making it one of the few certified flat roof systems in the UK.
• Testing of our roof brackets with popular flashing kits such as Hookstop & Genius Roof Solutions.
• A new, fully approved and tested, slate roof solution from TRIC & Genius Roof Solutions.
