This installation saw us adding solar panels to a rental property. The owner (landlord) was looking to have solar added in order to generate an income through the Feed In Tariff, as well as reducing energy costs for his tenants.

To complement the look of the slate roof an all black module was chosen, this was mounted with our TRIC mounting for slate roof, using Genius flashing to ensure compliance and weather tightness. The 12 Peimar 300W modules were split into 2 strings of 6 with some areas optimised with Tigo units. This all fed back into a SolaX string inverter. In order to further save energy, and make the most of the generated energy from the solar array a PowerFlow E.R.S. unit was installed. This little unit diverts surplus energy to heat water in an immersion tank (immersion control).
As the landlord lives away from the property we installed a total generation meter with remote monitoring. This allows the landlord to see the generation and energy use through an online portal.
