Our customer in Worthing needed a small off-grid system fitted to a garage. We don’t typically do much off-grid work, choosing to work with Sunstore Ltd on these kinds of projects. On this occasion we made an exception and our in-house off-grid engineer designed a small system to meet our customers needs. Three JA Solar 290W modules were mounted on the roof using our TRIC F Duo ballast mount system. These fed into a Victron Phoenix 24V inverter, specially designed for off-grid applications. Storage was provided by 2 230Amp hour Victron batteries, these again are designed for off-grid and can be used for deep cycle use. The whole system is controlled by a Victron Smart Solar controller.
